Fever and sore throat
I am having fever and sore throat since 2 days and taking dolo and Azithromycin 500 , but after taking dolo fever comes down but after 6 hours the fever again come back with 102.5. or 101.7. And i am not having any headache, joint pain etc.

Viral fever has a tendency to come back again after the effect of Paracetamol is over.
You should consult with a General Physician in your area for a physical examination so that some infection in the lungs is not missed

Blood investigation need to be done to rule other causes like dengue, leptospirosis, scrub typhus, malaria , typhoid.

Hi dear
Persistent fever that too high grade needs to be evaluated.
I would advice you not to take antibiotics without knowing the cause of fever .
Only take dolo for today and see if the fever still keeps on coming then it's better to do further investigation to firstly find out the cause and then treat it.

Dolo helps in bringing the fever down .it does not cure.so fever will come back and you will need more daily doses.
It may be viral which will take 5 to 7 days irrespective of medication

Itâs probably a case of strep throat. I would like you to change the medication to
1) Amoxiclav 625 mg (two times a day after food) for 3 days
2) Pantoprazole 40mg (morning before having breakfast) for 3 days
Continue paracetamol whenever fever rises

Salt water gargling at least 3 times a day
