Dear Doctor,
My father has broken his IT femur fracture 12 days back while walking he fell down.
Actually he has been diabetic since 20 yrs and also got a heart attack in 2021. A stent was placed following a heart attack.current lvef 35%.
The doctor & anesthesiologist refused to operate and said it is the highest risky case. Instead placed traction in leg and advised bed rest for 45 days. It will automatically heal.
I am uploading the x ray. pl guide how much time it takes to heal this fracture.

Surgical and Nonsurgical both have their own drawbacks .
Better to for surgery under better facilities- Lumbar plexus block , Good ICU setup if needed post surgery .
With bed rest and traction - high chances of malunion , nonunion , bed sores , other cardiopulmonary complications( also possible in surgery)
