Hi mam,
Since we dont have pics.. to see n suggest whether there is clear facial asymmetry or any other problems associated.. It may b due to some times sleeping on side.. Or not using other side of for chewing.. Underlying dental problem.. Like caries tooth with periapical abscess, or lympnode enlargment, bony swelling or parotitis.. There could b n no of causes.. So rule out all.. U need to do an investigation ie AP view of head n neck n OPG.. These are radiological investigations to rule out any serious issue.. Ao dnt b panicked a small visit to doctor for further investigation need to b done.. Not to take it easy.. Face gives the Aesthetic appeal.. Dnt delay.. Bttr to b cautious.
Next Steps
Visit to a doctor n radiological investigation.. Is must... Relax.. Nothing to worry.. Bettr to b cautious..
Hello mam... Good evening.. Welcome to practo..
The swelling can be due to skeletal or dental related..
In case of skeletal related, orthodontic treatment is needed..
In case if it is dental related, then the asymmetry can be due to dental caries and dental malocclusions..
There are different treatment for each condition..
To know the condition correctly take an orthopantamogram..
Check for any discomforts from that..
Consult me for further details..
Thank you..
Hello. Facial asymmetry can be corrected with the help of orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic treatments. (Movements of teeth and jaw related bones)
A case study will be done in which, You will require an OPG (full mouth x-ray), study models and facial photographs. Depending on the severity, a treatment plan will be made.
Kindly visit an Orthodontist for definitive diagnosis and treatment
