Yes sometimes due to some changes in tooth formation an extra tooth is formed, but you need not to worry about it.     You can get it extracted as it is hampering the position of one of the central Incisor.      Also you can share a proper image of upper arch which will confirm the presence of the extra tooth is mediodens or some other tooth with transposition.      Kindly send me the OPG or CBCT so that I can tell you the further treatment plan
Next Steps
Get an OPG done
Health Tips
Not to worry if this malalignment is not corrected naturally we can get it done by braces.

Age of your son along with appropriate radiograph of the respective concerned tooth as well as the radiograph of whole mouth (OPG) would help us give a better diagnosis.
Next Steps
Visit your nearest dental college or dental clinic for a proper checkup and diagnosis.

Age of your son? Pls send a picture in which you slightly push the upper lip upward so all other erupted teeth are more clearly visible. Which is important to see, to determine its a mesiodense or a lateral incisors erupted in a wrong position.
