Exercises during plantar fascia
I have been suffering from heel pain from last 3months.morning time pain is more, but rest of day there will be less pain. I want to know can I do fast walking, running, aerobics or jumba in this situation. Or should I take rest for some days till that I recovered permanently from this. Docs kindly suggest.. Thanks

This is Dr. praveen podali, happy to help Better don’t do any exercises like fast walking, running , aerobics r Jumba. 1. Start doing ankle pump exercises 4times/day , 20 times each 2. Silicone insoles in ur shoes n MCR footwear. 3. Rest, ice application, compression n elevation of foot while sleeping over 2 pillows. 4. T. Etova- er 600mg PO 1-0-1(after food) for pain sos, if ur diabetic use T. Ultracet PO 1-0-1

Hi Dr Utsav Agrawal orthopaedic specialist here If you are experiencing increase in pain recently, then definitely you should restrict your activities. Also we should evaluate the cause of heel pain and reduce the progress of the disease.

Yes please take rest for few days and wear a soft sole footwear. Once the pain subsides, you can continue doing exercises.

In acute situation, rest is advisable. Once pain subsides, you can continue exercises, especially as instructed by the physiotherapist.
