If the episiotomy is given properly then you can sleep in any position, it should not make any difference. Most of the trouble starts if the episiotomy is not planned properly. Washing of the area with warm diluted antiseptic lotion ( betadine, dettol, savlon) after each visit to toilet , and local application of betadine or metrogyl or soframycin ointment twice a day is adequate.

Episiotmy ! Practice two times a day seidtz bath. In a basin of warm water add povidone solution and sit in the basin to allow the episiotomy area to be immersed  for 8 to 10 mins daily..pat dry and can use betadine cream along suture line. Five to 7 days.

Episiotomy care to be done. Sitz bath thrice daily till stitches get healed. Apply some antibiotic ointment. Avoid constipation and sitting cross legs
