Economic and Availability Trap
Hi, I and my brother lives far away from home (with also some economic difficulties). We eat food from hotels what are affordable. Regular south Indian (TN) breakfast (Idly, Dosa, or Parotta with curry which has no vegetables), and lunch (is not a proper meal but rice based), dinner as usual (not great in nutrients). What are the food / snacks / fruit items we can add as supplements to keep us healthy and in better nutritional status (and affordable)? What should be taken at least in what quantities and frequencies every month? Please guide us.

Hello , Good to hear from you .Many things eating healthy means eating different and spending so much money on variety of foods. Its actually not that way.You can eat normal and regular South Indian food and still be healthy .Add good salads ,fruits, nuts, milk and milk products into your regular diet and be active for 30 mins at least in a day so your body can get all the required nutrients and you can be fit

Hi, There are 3 macronutrients like carbohydrate, Protein and fat which we get from our diet. Also micronutrients like Vitamin and minerals are also needed.Your diet is lacking proteins and fibre. Include milk, curd, eggs, chicken and fish for proteins. Include fruits like papaya, chickoo,Banana, Guava and vegetables like cucumber, Carrot, Raddish which are easy to add besides leafy vegetables.
