Respectable sir ! My left ear has a hole on eardrum . l have no irritation no pain doctor adwise me thatto operate is there any other solution for that expect operation please help me out of that .How much time the treatment will take ??thanks in advance asked for female 32years.

The hole in the ear causes decrease in hearing and it can also lead to frequent infection. You haven't have mentioned whether the hole is because of some injury or due to infection. The operation is called a tympanoplasty and in this the hole is repaired and the hearing bones are checked for any problems, and if a problem is seen it is corrected. The operation nowadays is performed through the ear canal only with an endoscope or microscope without any incision behind the ear so that the recovery is faster.
