Dear Patient, Thank you for reaching out regarding your persistent stomach pain during your period. Dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain) can sometimes be severe and may not always respond adequately to over-the-counter medications like Dysmen tablets. Here are some steps you can consider: 1. **Pain Management**:    - Continue with pain relievers as directed, but if Dysmen is not effective, you might consider other options like ibuprofen or naproxen, which are often more effective for menstrual pain.    - Apply a heating pad to your lower abdomen to help relax the muscles and reduce pain. 2. **Hydration and Diet**: Stay well-hydrated and avoid foods that can cause bloating or discomfort, such as caffeine, salty foods, and sugary snacks. 3. **Rest**: Ensure you are getting adequate rest and avoiding strenuous activities that might exacerbate the pain. Given that the pain is persisting beyond your usual period duration, it is important to consider other potential causes, such as endometriosis, fibroids, or pelvic inflammatory disease. These conditions can cause prolonged or severe menstrual pain and require medical evaluation. I strongly recommend scheduling a consultation to assess your symptoms and determine the underlying cause of your pain. Please feel free to reach out to me on WhatsApp at eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two to discuss further or to book an appointment. Take care,

Hello, If Dysmen isn’t enough, try Ibuprofen (400–600 mg) or Naxdom (Naproxen 250–500 mg) every 8 hours with food. These are stronger painkillers.
Next Steps
Dehydration can worsen cramps, so drink warm fluids
Health Tips
A heating pad or warm water bottle on your lower abdomen can relax muscles and improve blood flow, reducing cramps. If your pain is severe, persistent, or different from usual, conditions like endometriosis, fibroids, or ovarian cysts might be involved. So go for a thorough gynaec check up

You should get a check-up to see why the pain is persisting if this is different from your normal cycle. Stomach pain has several causes, not necessarily due to your period- so let a doctor examine you and guide you accordingly

Period cramps usually subside by day 3 When severe , you can take tab mefenamic acid 500 mg + tab cyclopam as dysmen is a combination tablet in which individual drug dose is less It is important to take cap omeprazole 20 mg along with mefenamic acid as the latter can cause severe gastritis Pain still not subsiding should be treated with iv analgesics For  period cramp not subsiding by day 3 , a minimum of an ultrasound abdomen plus pelvis should be done to rule out other causes

If the pain persists beyond your period or if you are concerned, it's important to consult your gynecologist or physician. There might be an underlying condition like endometriosis, PID or fibroids that needs a professional evaluation.
Next Steps
: A doctor may suggest an ultrasound or other tests to rule out any underlying conditions.
