Duration to close gap of extracted teeth
It's since 10 months, my gap between teeth is yet not closed, still 25% gap is there. My teeth 1:4 was extracted for braces treatment, all teeth are now in line but right upper side gap is taking so long, why is this, I'm frustrated. How much time it takes to close gap... Other side gap got closed, only one side is remaining, don't know why???

It can take up to 12-15 months for complete closure of the gaps and This is normal . But if you are in a hurry you can undergo a surgical procedure (called as PAOO) to accelerate the tooth movement which is done under local anesthesia and is only a minor surgical procedure . You can ask for it if you think it is deemed necessary or wait for another 3-5 months for good finish without any surgical procedure. Consult with your existing orthodontist who will be in a better position to discuss your treatment plan.
