hello, you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. if there is infection to the root of the tooth, get it treated. then get a crown placed over it. if there is no infection then you can directly go for crown placement.

Greetings patient, Your question ain't precise or clear but I'm assuming the complaint is regarding a dislodged cap given to you previously for a decayed tooth. Well if that is the case let me help you guide you behind the reasons we give a cap? there are two main reasons for giving cap or crown over a tooth 1. after a root canal treatment of a decayed tooth: in a root canal treatment the decayed pulpal spaces or blood vessels and nerves are removed due to which the normal hydration of teeth is removed. Due to which the tooth becomes dry and brittle like a china dish so eventually in order to prevent its fracture under severe stress while eating something hard a crown or a cap is given. 2. when major tooth structure is decayed due to cavity or bacterial decay a.k.a. caries. so again in order to prevent fracture either of tooth or filling, we cover it with a crown.
Next Steps
visit a prosthodontist (specialist in crowns and bridges) ASAP
Health Tips
get a replacement before it fractures

Artificial teeth are usually fixed on top of your natural teeth and they protect it. In addition they help you to chew your food better. Without this artificial tooth, your natural tooth that was underneath can fracture easily.
Next Steps
visit your dentist and get a replacement done to keep your natural tooth safe.
Health Tips
do not delay the treatment. one hard awkward bite can fracture that tooth. stay with soft diet till you get the cap fixed.
