Dry eyes - New age treatments
I'm suffering from a severe case of dry eyes and computer vision syndrome since past 4-5 years. I've visited 3-4 opthalmologists in different cities but none have been able to offer any concrete solution other than the generic advice available on the internet. I use Zeiss blue light blocking glasses, eyedrops and lutein zeaxthanin supplements but lately the symptoms like red/scratchy/watery eyes and headaches are becoming frequent. I've read about some new treatments like Lipiflow, punctal plugs, IPL. Are these options safe and effective? What about cyclosporine? Any places in Delhi NCR you'd suggest for these treatments? (Please don't offer general advice like looking away from screens every 20 mins, massaging and doing eye exercises) Thank you

Yes, you can go for any of the options available. Treatment depends on the type of dry eyes you are having and the underlying cause. Cyclosporine is a very good medicine for treatment of dry eyes. But then you have to consult an ophthalmologist in clinic before starting it. Autologous serum eye drops are also being tried (in AIIMS)
