Hi,
Last week I donated a blood , that time Hemoglobin was measured as 15.3.
After 7 days, I have taken Renal Profile Test and CBC.
Hemoglobin 12.4
Creatinine 1.21
Urea 17
During this 7 days back, started doing mild work puts like pull-ups and double bar March.
Please advise why the sudden drop in Hemoglobin ? I am not suppose to do any work outs ? Please advise
Thanks in advance!

standard whole blood donation typically causes a hemoglobin (Hb) drop of about 0.8 to 1.5 g/dL .
hemoglobin take 4 to 8 weeks to recover (sometimes up to 12 weeks for complete iron store recovery) to fully replenish.
Sometimes Hb may be factitious. Repeat Hb after a month or two. Renal profile is normal.

Small drop in Haemoglobin can occur after donating blood. Still it is normal. Continue your work outs and take a balanced diet.
Haemoglobin will come to previous level after about 3 weeks.
Proper evaluation and personalised advice are needed for your concern. A detailed consultation would be best to provide accurate guidance.

Hello, Slight drop in Hb levels after blood donation can happen and it seems to be normal and at 12.4 Hb there is no issue in doing workout unless you are experiencing any symptoms. Please consult doctor if having any symptoms at present , otherwise just drop in Hb after blood donation is normal.
