For a 10-year-old weighing 29 kg, the standard paracetamol dose is 15 mg per kg per dose â which works out to approximately 435 mg. Calpol 500mg is slightly over this calculated dose but is generally acceptable as a one-time dose for a child this weight. It can be given every 6 hours if needed for fever or body ache, and is safe for flu-like symptoms. Make sure she stays well hydrated with warm fluids.
Next Steps
Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation if the fever crosses 102°F, persists beyond 2-3 days, or she develops rash or breathing difficulty.
