Doctor consult
Current symptoms Stomach discomfort / gastritis symptoms. Intermittent pain in the side, back, and hip area. Right-sided throat irritation, especially when GERD/acidity increases. Bitter taste on the right side of the tongue for about 1 month. Occasional yellow-colored stools. Sometimes foamy urine. Occasional increased urinary frequency in the morning. No fever, no jaundice, no vomiting, and appetite is normal. Previous findings Ultrasound (years ago) showed: Mild gastric wall thickening. Mild gallbladder wall thickening. No gallstones currently (as you mentioned recently). Recent test results CBC: Normal. ESR: Normal. Liver function tests: Within normal range. Questions to ask the doctor Could my bitter tongue taste be related to GERD, acid reflux, oral issues, or something else? Is the right-sided throat irritation due to reflux? Are the yellow stools related to gastritis, diet, bile flow, or another cause? Does the mild gallbladder wall thickening need any follow-up? What could be

Hi 1. You mentioned bitter taste especially on right side only. What about left side of tongue? A localized bitter taste on only one side of the tongue is often linked to localized nerve irritation, dental issues, or specific conditions affecting one side of the oral cavity 2. Right side throat irritation and right side tongue taste difference ( bitterness) points towards right side localised nerve irritation or damage.  May be we can consider if you are only sleeping on your right side, GERD is a possibility.. 3. Normal stool colour is yellow. You should be worried if it's not yellow. 4. Gallbladder wall thickness in USG was many years ago. Get a latest USG abdomen and review with reports for correct diagnosis and management
Next Steps
feel free to consult me on practo for further evaluation and management

First to notice the foamy urine.  Get the rft,cue tests done to rule out any proteinuria or kidney related issues. Secondly the bitter taste and gastric issues are due to gerd with acidic reflux occasionally. Stool for occult test also needed to rule out h.pylori infection. Kindly start the treatment for gerd and get the remaining tests done.
