Dear Practo User,
Stiffness or difficulty in moving or closing fingers is very common after a period of plaster cast application. It shall take some time for you to get out of the stiffness. Follow the listed steps and you shall find good improvement in 4 to 6 weeks.
Next Steps
1. Hot fomentation: Dip your hand in luke warm water and remove after 1 minute. DO it 5 times and day and then do exercises.
Hello,
As per your history you had distal radius fracture which was casted for 6 weeks and the cast was applied till middle of fingers.
The cast has been removed and you havent taken an xray yet.
I would advice you to get a latest xray done to see the healing and the position of the bones on healing.
As the cast was applied to the middle of the fingers this can cause some stiffness and hence you require appropriate treatment for this
I would suggest that you consult me personally so that I can suggest an appropriate treatment for your ongoing problem
