Displaced talus
If there is avascular necrosis after a displaced talus fracture. Is joint replacement surgery operable. Is this procedure successful in such cases? Will a patient be able to walk normally ?

It is one of the only options that can give you a walkable and pain free ankle. Yes Total Ankle replacement is now very commonly done, but it is being done at some centres in selected patients with fair results . Share xrays.

Avascular necrosis can be successfully treated with ESWT. It is non operative and noninvasive treatment and has no side effects. Please see my website www.eswtindia.com
