Avascular necrosis stage 2
My mother is suffering from avascular necrosis in right hip, local doctor was telling to go for hip replacement, also she got pneumonia 2 times within 4 months, Parkinson disease, BP, sugar she has. Is surgery is best or any other alternative is best? Her age is 59 yrs old n past she is a working women and now not doing.

Surgery is best option but looking to her other health issues you can pull it as much as possible but if here routine is getting disturbed and pain is beyond limits better to get operated. It is a safe ax

Treatement of avascular necrosis depends on the staging of the disease. If the xray could be shared it would be helpful. If there has been a collapse of the head and hip movements are painful and restricted then hip replacement is the best option provided other medical comorbidities are optimised.
