Hey There could me many possible reasons for increase in cholesterol. So you need to tell us if there is any medical history or habit of drinking and smoking Since your father is diabetic avoid fruits such as mango, banan , cheeku, grapes and litchi and limit intake of fruit juices Also limit the intake of sugary products. Till then i can suggest you somethings like: * Oil consumption should be limited to 3 table spoon per day only. Combination of PUFA AND MUFA is recommended like : olive oil, cannola oil, rice bran oil, mustard oil. * Rotation of oils in every 20 -30 days is considered * Avoid ghee, butter, creams etc
