For constipation, follow a diet rich in fiber and fluids, including foods like whole grains, legumes, leafy greens, fruits (especially berries, apples, and bananas), nuts, seeds, avocados, olive oil, and fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi, while limiting or avoiding processed, high-sugar, and low-fiber foods, and drinking plenty of water (at least 8-10 glasses a day) to help soften stool and promote regular bowel movements.
