Many people do not talk about their symptoms. If he has, appreciate him for that. Tell him it must be difficult for him to talk about it and you appreciate the fact that he has. Tell him you are always there to listen and that it's a common problem which is treatable with medicines. Most medicines have few side effects and people can work woke on them. The main role of the medicines is that they work to elevate the mood so one views the situation differently. It is important to visit a doctor for that.

Hello, It is very heartening to know about your concern regarding your brother, and you taking the first step to seek help on his behalf on this platform. Your brother's negative thoughts and emotions will require a comprehensive assessment by a psychiatrist, who can help in understanding his distress and problems in a better manner. His medical status, psychological state and environmental issues will need to be assessed before management can be initiated. After a complete assessment further management can be initiated which is likely to be a combination of medication and psychological intervention. Be assured that with a correct approach his condition can be helped and he can get back to his normal self again. Hope this helps you. Best wishes for health and future.
