Antibiotics are not typically used as a routine part of dental cleaning, scaling, or root planing procedures. These procedures involve the removal of plaque, tartar, and bacteria from the teeth and gums using specialized dental instruments. The goal is to improve gum health and prevent or treat gum disease.
However, in some cases where there is an active infection or if the dentist or periodontist believes that there is a risk of infection, they might prescribe antibiotics. This is more common in situations where there is severe gum disease (periodontitis) or if the patient has certain medical conditions that could increase the risk of infection.
It's important to follow your dentist's or healthcare provider's recommendations and to inform them of any medical conditions or medications you are taking before undergoing any dental procedures. They will be able to determine if antibiotics are necessary in your specific case.

Normally there is no need of antibiotics for scaling.
But it can vary on the condition of your gums and severity of Periodontitis.
Let your dentist make a decesion on that.
Nope.. Ultrasonic scaling is used... Which physical way of cleaning. No antibiotics is used. But in few cases antibiotics can be prscribed after scaling.
Usually not but if problem is moderate to severe antibiotics are prescribed that are specific to gum diseases. The treating dentist can best take a decision on that.
In case of mild stains or deposits no antibiotic prophylaxis is required. Only lukewarm saline rinsing followed by some oral hygiene measures are advised post teeth cleaning. You can consult your general dentist to get this confirmation following your oral examination.
That depends on case to case
A thorough evaluation is required to decide that.
The severity of the case, the physical condition of the patient, their medical history, etc
Please let your treating doctor decide onto that.
Because taking antibiotics or skipping antibiotics without doctor’s advise is not advisable.
When a deep cleaning is required and the case is of severe gingivitis/ periodontitis, ie with a lot of bleeding, then antibiotics may be given to prevent secondary infection. It depends on the patients physical condition and also of the gums.
Normally antibiotics are not needed.(but may be required in some cases)
But let the treating doctor decide whether you need or not
Visit a local dentist for physical evaluation and treatment (as required).
