I have a cavity in one of my molar tooth. For the past 7 days there has been a boil like on my gum beneath the infected tooth. What should I do as there are no dentists available near me.

Hello. Since you say there is a boil on your gums it looks like tooth is inflected. But an xray is needed to know exact situation. Meanwhile you can start taking medication 1.Take T.Augmentin duo 625 mg thrice daily for 5 days 2.If pain is there start taking T.Combiflam. You can take it whenever you have pain ,but not more than 3 tablet a day 3.do salt water gargle with regular temp water

Hello , welcome to practo First thing don't panic Click a picture of the affected area As per your description it looks infection from tooth has reached to the end to tooth and will require root canal treatment or extraction of the offending tooth depending on the condition of tooth

You should have antibiotics like Augmentin 625 mg, twice a day after food. Also, you should do warm saline mouth washes 3 - 4 times a day. You could put some clove oil in a small cotton pellet if you are having discomfort in the tooth. See a dentist at the earliest for proper treatment.

For the time being, do have these medicines prior to visit dentist, T. Cifran CT, 2 times/day.after food 10 tablets. T. Roles D,once a day, before food,for 5 days T.A to z gold, once a day, after food,10 tablets. If difficulty in opening mouth or chewing or swallowing, these are usually associated with  tooth infection. If feverish, that can be as a secondary  infection from tooth.as pus is most likely formed irt the tooth.

visit dentist get RCT done. do not neglect or else you may not be able to save the tooth at all. as it's a very important tooth for chewing food.

do not do hot compression /balm/ointment application extra-orally. avoid very hot/cold/hard/sweet/sticky food soft diet do not neglect brushing after meal. hold mouthful of Luke warm salt water in for sometime; if any discomfort.

X ray is required for further treatment Gargle with warm salt water for 3-4times Don't use any hot or cold compress on that area Avoid any hot or cold & spicy food Avoid chewing from that side

Clinical examination and x ray is required for condition..till then u are advised  to do warm saline  rinses  and maintain  yr oral hygiene via brushing twice daily and rinsing  after every  meal. Avoid  chewing  from that side and take soft diet.

do not apply extra oral heat or do any compression visit  to dentist  if swelling or pain increases.

As u r having a boil like in ur gums , it suspects for an infection. So kindly start with medication. And once ur dentist is available can contact him/her.

Boil can be pus due to Prolongeed decay leading to Root infection.You might need a Root canal treatment After verifying X ray of your tooth.Kindly start root canal treatment in nearby clinic with Antibiotic and pain killer to reduce pus and infection
