Dark underarms can occur due to friction, shaving, sweat accumulation, irritation from deodorants, or sometimes hormonal causes such as insulin resistance. Since you have sensitive skin, avoid using harsh “fairness” creams or strong fragranced roll-ons as they may worsen pigmentation and irritation.
You can use a gentle moisturizer along with mild depigmenting creams containing ingredients like niacinamide, lactic acid, or azelaic acid under dermatology guidance. Wearing loose cotton clothing and reducing friction can also help improve the darkness gradually.
If the pigmentation is thick, velvety, itchy, or spreading, further evaluation may be needed to rule out underlying causes.
