Covid 103'c fever for 2-3
My friend is covid positive and she has fever its 3rd now. For 2nd and 3rd day fever was rising upto 103'c. What to do in this case? Oxygen level is above 96 everytime.

In your case, home isolation and routine care can be taken. Kindly follow the below guidelines: 1. Physical distancing of atleast 6 meters. Preferably the sick individual should have a separate room. 2. indoor mask use. Preferably a double mask (surgical mask on top of a N95 mask) should be used. 3. strict hand hygiene. Hands should be thoroughly washed with soap and water for at least 30 seconds. An alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 70% alcohol can be used. Symptomatic management: 1. Hydration. Patient should have at least 4 to 6 glasses of water everyday. 2. Anti-pyretics can be given under the supervision of a healthcare professional. 3. Multivitamins and Zinc can be given. 4. Stay in contact with treating physician. 5. Monitor temperature and oxygen saturation (by applying a SpO2 probe to fingers). Seek immediate medical attention if: 1. Difficulty in breathing 2. High grade fever/severe cough, particularly if lasting for more than five days 3. Consider hospital admission if: 1. Age more than 60 years. 2. Cardiovascular disease, hypertension. 3. Any lung disease 4. Any kidney/liver disease 5. History of stroke or any brain disease. 6. Obesity.

Follow COVID appropriate behavior. 1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 70% alcohol if soap and water are not available. 2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands 3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 4. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. 5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and other people, particularly those who are coughing, sneezing and have a fever. 6. Wear cloth face coverings such as a mask in public settings, especially where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. 7. Ensure regular hand washing with soap and potable water after touching animals and animal products 8. Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with hands; Avoid contact with sick animals or spoiled animal products. 9. Strictly avoid any contact with other animals in the market (e.g., stray cats and dogs, rodents, birds, bats). 10. Avoid contact with potentially contaminated animal waste or fluids on the soil or structures of shops and market facilities. 11. Avoid consumption of raw or undercooked animal products: Handle raw meat, milk or animal organs with care, to avoid cross-contamination with uncooked foods, as per good food safety practices.
