My 23‑month‑old son has been suffering from a dry cough for the past three days. He doesn’t have a fever and only has mild cold symptoms.

Better not to give cough suppression that young age , if cough is not severe like whooping cough . Control cough with decongest and cold syrup. Cold may cause cough when secretions irritate the throat.
