Your child coughing after a bout of running could be an early sign of exercise induced asthma. Doesn't mean he has asthma though and also don't stop him from running. Avoid running outside in cold weather as cold air is a trigger.

Coughing after running could’ be a beginning of Exercise induced Asthma which can happen at any age . But this does NOT warrant stopping running . Exercise is a positive trigger . It will help overcome this condition. Don’t worry let him run & play outdoors including running
