Correct way to floss
Can I please know the right way to floss? How often is flossing recommended? Do people with braces need to floss more? If I have gaps in my teeth, do I need to floss? Will flossing harm my gums (it sometimes bleeds when I floss)?

As most of the technique has been explained by other dentists, i would just like to give a word of advice/caution.
Health Tips
Just try to run the floss against each tooth surface like how a cloth is used to clean shoes before applying shoe polish. Avoid deliberately touching the gums with it.

Flossing is extremely important. You must do it at night before sleeping. There is floss available in the market which is mounted to the handle. It is easier to use.YOUNIFLOSS is one such name

Flossing is as important as brushing. Plaque builds up not only on your teeth but also between your teeth. Your Toothbrush can't reach it, only the floss can. It does not matter if you floss in morning or night. It's a simple piece of string, sometimes flavored, often waxed. Wrap it around your finger, and you have a powerful tool that can help prevent cavities and give your overall health a big boost.
Health Tips
1. Floss before brushing your teeth. That way the plaque which was taken out by floss is washed away during brushing.

Hi... Take a 7-8" floss n wrap it around the middle fingers of both ur hands...Now slide the floss between two teeth and clean that space and slide it out again.. repeat in all areas... Flossing once a day is sufficient.... If u have gaps between ur teeth then interdental brushes are recommended than flossing.... Flossing does not harm the gums if proper technique is followed...It must be bleeding for u because u r forcing the floss in between the teeth... Don't force just slide it... All the best
