Corn removal procedure

Hi doctor I had a corn removal procedure three weeks back. Doctor told me the skin will come off on its own. I am applying florouracil ointment every night. However, the hard skin is not coming off. But there is no pain even if i press it. Is this normal?

It's not clear if the corn was removed completely in which case you shouldn't need any prolonged medical treatment.
