Constipation in 9th month old baby
Is carmicide syrup safe for 9th month baby . My baby is constipated since I started solid . Can I give him this syrup daily in little amount

Baby needs to pass stools daily wen starting solids. It depends on wat foods u have started and wat other intake baby is having daily . Whether breastmilk or formula ? It's it's continuous take a consultation with doctor on wat foods to give during constipation

In children less than 1 year of age 1 st line of treatment for constipation is lactulose and diet modification.

You should perhaps modify the diet you are giving to your baby. If you have already started semisolid food as recommended for age, try adding fibre rich food like green leafy vegetables boiled with the rice that you give him. You can try to soak a roti in dal or milk and feed him that. These can help to prevent constipation. To treat the constipation, try to give syrup Laxolite half the body weight twice daily. Give it for 7 days at least. It is a laxative and safe to be used in children.
