Muscle twitching with numbness may be due to electrolyte imbalance, vitamin B12/Vitamin D deficiency, thyroid disorder, anxiety, or less commonly a neurological condition. Clinical evaluation is required.
Next Steps
Consult a Physician/Neurologist. Get CBC, electrolytes (Ca/Mg), TSH, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and blood sugar. Seek urgent care if weakness, speech difficulty, or persistent numbness develops.

Widespread muscle twitching (fasciculations) combined with numbness and tingling in the hands and feet over 3-4 months has several possible causes. The most common ones are deficiencies of Vitamin B12, Magnesium, Vitamin D, or Calcium — all of which can cause exactly these symptoms including twitching, numbness, and head tightness. Anxiety and stress can also produce this entire picture. A less common but important possibility is Benign Fasciculation Syndrome, which is harmless twitching often worsened by caffeine, stress, and fatigue. However, because the symptoms involve multiple areas and have persisted for 3-4 months, this needs proper blood work to rule out deficiencies and other causes — do not ignore it.
Next Steps
Get blood tests done: CBC, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Calcium, Thyroid, and blood sugar. If all are normal and symptoms persist, see a neurologist for further evaluation including nerve conduction studies. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
