Constant need to take a deep breath
I have anxiety. When I think about breathing I take alot of deep breaths. My left side of my chest feel tight and sometimes my throat. I cough a little and my nose it stopped up just a little. I wake up feeling the need to take a deep breath. It happen a few times in the past but eventually it went away. So is it anxiety or chest congestion? When I take a deep breathe the tightness goes away but eventually it comes back a few minutes later. I guess when I'm not thinking about it I don't do it.

It seems like anxiety as it comes about when u think about it. There is something we call as hyperventilation syndromes in anxiety disorder where it is fast and shallow breathing and sometimes other physical symptoms. U should consult a mental health professional and start doing deep and slow breathing exercises (Deep inhalation from nose and slow exhalation from mouth)
