1st of all Exclusive breast feeding is recommended for 6 months. And After 1 and half years, milk that is being produced have no nutritional values to child. So there is no point in giving milk to 22 month old child.
2ndly check your TFT and adjust thyroxine dosage.
Calorie restriction
Hormone Shifts: Dropping prolactin levels can alter appetite and fat storage.

Constant hunger, lethargy and weight gain with thyroid disease strongly suggests your thyroid isn't adequately controlled. Get TSH checked first â 50mcg may not be enough. Once thyroid is optimized, weight loss becomes easier. While breastfeeding, don't crash diet â cut sugar and refined carbs, eat protein at every meal, and stay active with light exercise.
Next Steps
Consult me on Practo with your TSH result for proper guidance.

Recommended Calorie intake for a lactating mother is different from what it is for a non pregnant non lactating woman . Dont be too hard on yourself.
The stress of managing a toddler and sleep disturbances can itself cause weight gain and also thyroid . Ur menses may take time to return to normal patterns and that might cause gain .
I would suggest caloric counting ( apps available on phone these days ) , daily walking ( preferably tredmill) or yoga or arobic exercise would be a good start.
