I am already on medication for my issues but after going to work I feel even more stressed as maybe my colleague fail to understand what I'm going through I'm thinking of taking some time off work. Is that something that I should do? Can it be prescribed by a doctor?

Yes, sometimes there may be side effects due your body constitution and may cause additional stress . So it's better to combine psychotherapy along with medicine for faster recovery. You may adopt few lifestyle changes, self therapies, excersise, dietary changes along with counseling support.

Just the opposite do not leave work talk to the doctor edit medication and go along with work. Only if you work you will be able to go across this problem not by staying at home
