Chest fullness
Hello doc, I have been facing this chest fullness issue and difficulty catching full breath since few years now on and off. Lately, it has increased and i feel chest tightness and intermittent sharp pain on left side of chest. I had consulted a cardiologist earlier and he said it was anxiety issue as all parameters were normal. I am physically quite active and have moderate weight . I get anxious easily and stress over small things. Can this be the reason?? Kindly help.

Possibly cardiologist has ruled out cardiac emergencies. Chest tightness and fullness can have non cardiac causes like Costochondritis, GERD, hiatus hernia. Anxiety and panic disorders should be diagnosed after you have ruled out all other possibilities. Problem is if you attribute many symptoms to anxiety/ panic attacks, you would miss underlying important diagnosis. Will require further details like body weight, detailed history and medication history
Next Steps
Do a complete chest xray, thyroid profile, CBC

If your cardiac and general evaluations are normal, your symptoms are likely due to musculoskeletal issues or functional causes. I recommend taking Vitamin D supplements. Practicing breathing exercises can also help manage your anxiety. If you feel you need additional support with anxiety, please consider consulting a psychiatrist.
Next Steps
Supplements and Breathing exercises.
