Chances of second cancer.
I was diagnosed with Papillary thyroid carcinoma and successfully cured after RAI Therapy entire Thyroid tissue is destroyed. My pathology report says BRAF V600 POSITIVE, my question is once free from cancer what are the chances of having a secondary cancer ?.

I assume you underwent surgery total thyroidectomy and RIA. In future you can have neck nodes which might need surgery again. So meet a surgical oncologists 6 mt to pick it up and nuclear medicine expert for follow up scan. Papillary Ca thyroid is very slow growing generally. It might take years to come again.
