I am pregnant with twins as my cervix was shortening at 11 week Dr have suggested me cervical stitch. How much successful is this process in my case

Twins pregnancy is advocated with prophylactic cervical stitch In case of short cervix, it is mandatory Procedure is safe N u need atleast 24 hrs post surgery admission for Iv antibiotics and uterine relaxants

It has success rate 80 to 90 percent in elective cases and 40 to 60 percent in emergency cases

Hi. Cervical stitch is the only treatment for shortening of cervix . Please go with your doc .

It is useful to u as it will prevent ur delivery in 7th or 8th month that is preterm delivery Though it is not 100 % sure to prevent preterm delivery but it is useful to u
