Cervical pain
I'm having cervical pain for 8 years. I usually exercise and it reduces. Sometime back I went for physiotherapy and they administered IFT. After that pain has increased manifolds. Also now I'm having pain in my left shoulder plate region where there was no pain to begin with.

Hello Cervical pain issues are quite common...try to have some good manual therapy sessions and first come to a normal state of relaxation Keep in mind that reducing pain and coming to a normal pain free state is important ,but more  important is to get awareness about your specific condition and then maintain your cervical spine health properly so that these pain episode decrease in there frequency. *Get some good detailed assessment and consultation about your spine. *Keep track of calcium / vit d / vit b to maintain them as if there levels decrease then they add to persistent pain. *Keep good Posture and specific combination of stretching and strengthening exercises for your spine. I'm sorry to hear that you have been experiencing cervical pain for 8 years. It's possible that you may have an underlying condition such as a herniated disc, arthritis, or a pinched nerve that is causing your pain. However, it's important to consult with a qualified medical professional for a proper diagnosis. Regarding the increase in pain after undergoing IFT, it's possible that the treatment aggravated your condition. IFT is a type of electrical stimulation therapy that is used to reduce pain and inflammation. However, not all patients respond positively to this treatment, and it's possible that it may have exacerbated your symptoms.
Next Steps
I would recommend that you consult with a healthcare professional, such as a physiatrist, orthopedist, or neurologist, for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. They may recommend imaging tests such as X-rays, MRI, or CT scans to assess the condition of your cervical spine. In addition to this, they may suggest alternative therapies such as manual therapy, acupuncture, or yoga. It's important to keep in mind that each person's condition is unique and what works for one person may not work for another. Therefore, it's important to work with your healthcare professional to develop a personalized treatment plan that suits your needs.
Health Tips
Avoiding heavy lifting or carrying objects that place a strain on your neck. Maintaining good posture, especially when sitting or standing for extended periods. Taking frequent breaks and changing positions often, especially if you work at a desk or computer. Avoiding activities that require repetitive neck movements, such as playing musical instruments or typing for long periods. Practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga to reduce stress and muscle tension. Using a supportive pillow that helps maintain the natural curvature of your neck while sleeping. Avoiding activities that cause pain or discomfort, and modifying your activities to avoid aggravating your symptoms

You need proper consultation, it is your posture that is giving you constant pain and is radiating to shoulder. Do maintain proper posture while on work, use cervical pillow and soft collar if working for long hours. Take US therapy for a week and do neck isometric exercises.
