What’s wrong with CBT
It’s mainly journaling
You should keep doing that for life it’s good
And reduce writing you will come out of it
Pass it on to your partner or kids
Keep smiling and go more into sunlight
It s your choice to continue or stop therapy sessions.
It is important to discuss with your therapist before leaving your sessions.
There can be multiple reasons for leaving therapy sessions.
It is quite often noticed that when difficult thoughts/topics /behaviours are discussed in therapy. It results in feeling of getting out from sessions. And it is quite important to address those to bring change.
Please think about your reasons & decide.
Cognitive behavioural therapy is a psychotherapeutic technique to help one cope with maladaptive thoughts and behaviours.
It functions by identification of automatic thoughts followed by becoming more aware of routine patterns of behaviour to follow these thoughts.
For any therapy anyone who wants it needs to consent for it/should show willingness to change maladaptive thinking and behaviour by putting in conscious effort.
So if you want to disconnect your sessions; which are usually 8-10 sessions can be more or less depending on the therapist and patient need, you may discontinue.
It doesn’t have a specific time limit or any adverse effects.
It’s a voluntary choice to stay or leave any therapeutic intervention.
