Cat bite issue
Hi jul 30 I had bitten by stray cat after 30 mins immediately o went to hospital o got immunoglobulin and vaxirab n and they suggested me four doses of vaxirab n is that enough do o need one more vaxirab n I observed cat is still alive

Hello Since you have got both the ERIG and vaxirab injections, I believe you got inj TT along with it , you just have to complete the course which is from Day 0,3,7,28 . These are the 4 doses which you’ll receive as intradermally injections. Also make sure to do clean and dressing of the wound after washing with soap and water dry them and apply ointment.Use Tbact o/i for the wound dressing.

This vaccine is  used both route intramuscular is given one side of arm  and intradermal given on both side of arm Here The point is if you took it intramuscular then need 5 doses and if intradermal 4 doses enough Search images on google to look for intradermal and intramuscular route for an idea If past doses taken by  intramuscular take one more shot

Hello, Please complete the full dose of ARV. Which is five doses. Since you’ve had your first dose already, follow through and get the other four doses on days 3,7,14,28. Also, make sure you check on the bite wound daily for any change in colour, increased swelling, stiffness, discharge from the bite wound or fever. If any of the above symptoms appear visit a doctor physically or consult here for antibiotics and further management. In the meanwhile apply T. Bact ointment over the bite wound.
