I'm constantly in fear about my health even though I'm relatively healthy. I'm always scared about getting cancer. I'm constantly worried about one thing or the other even though my life is nearly perfect. I quit smoking cigarettes 2 years back but I still vape maybe this is what's causing the fear. I have low self esteem issues, insecure, not confident even though others think otherwise. I have general existential crisis (why do we do anything because we're gonna die someday kind of attitude) I have an amazing family and an amazing career but the feeling of sadness doesn't go away. Please help.

I can only feel, how distressed it must be to feel like this even when everything seems perfect. Sometimes our own brains deceive us! Hi. More information is needed regarding your condition. Regarding this fear of illness , whether this is present since childhood or have you developed this fear recently. Are there any family members or friends suffering from cancer etc. Some times people can be anxious right from childhood which is a part of their personality. Also regarding smoking, what are the reasons for smoking and whether it has helped you to overcome your anxiety etc. Most of the times faulty thoughts can be reasons for fears and phobias
