Well, dydrogesterone is a progesterone tablet which is used for the maintenance of pregnancy in case of threatened abortion in current pregnancy. Threatened abortion means, when the pregnancy is giving the alarming symptoms (pain abdomen, spotting or bleeding per vagina) like it is going to get aborted. So if even there were no previous history of earlier miscarriages, and there were regular cycles, dydrogesterone can be prescribed in the current pregnancy with those alarming symptoms. I hope this answer helped you dear.
