Can't get rid of Earworms
I have Earworms or songs stuck in my mind always for last 1 week, and can't get rid of them. They are disturbing me and playing in my mind and I can't concentrate on anything. I don't know how to remove them. Is there any treatment for earworms?

Hello, If this is happening for the first time in your life, then you should wait for one more week to see whether they resolve on their own on distracting yourself. If not, or if you have previous episodes of similar symptoms, then these may be musical obsessions which is a part of OCD Obsessive compulsive disorder. We would need to have a detailed assessment of other associated symptoms and comorbid disorders.

you need to consult a psychiatrist as early as you can and till then, try to distract yourself and let the music come in your mind, don't exert much to stop it, it will come and go if you don't pay much attention.

Hello, ear worms can be symptom of obsessive compulsive disorder OCD. Although duration of 1 week doesn’t qualify for OCD. But a detailed assessment is needed for other signs of it and any other disorder. Meanwhile you can try distracting yourself because focusing in them to stop May increase them further.
