Can one person be both
Can one person be both, like in the attached image — Psychiatrist and Psychologist? I want to know if a single person can be both a psychiatrist and a psychologist, like in the attached image. Or are they always separate professions? Please explain.

It is highly unlikely that someone can play both roles. But If the person has both degrees he can be both. However that is seldom seen because it might become a bit tough to handle both professions. Still if some people can do it who is to stop them? Only thing is that both degrees have to be legal.

Psychiatrist is a medical Doctor with MBBS and MD as specialization where as a psychologist have the Post Graduation (non medical degree) in Psychology. If a person have completed both the qualifications then he can work in both roles. BUT it is a very rare combination.. Hope it clears your doubts.

Well, to put it up in simpler terms Psychiatrist is the one who completes MBBS and takes MD specialisation in Psychiatry. They can diagnose and treat mental health disorders, prescribe medication and provide psychotherapy.Bachelor's degree MBBS.Dr of 5 years , Master's degree MD.Dr of 3 years. While a Psychologist has a  Bachelor's degree of 3 years, Master's degree of 2 years. They provide Psychotherapy, Diagnose and Treat mental health issues like anxiety, depression and have Treatment Plans. They can help with Life Challenges and Promote Well Being. The approaches would be Therapeutic, Client Centered and practice Evidence based Practices. Psy.D - Doctor of Psychology Both offer different Degree Specialisations while They Both Can Match to have a Mental Health Umbrella. One person can be both Psychiatrist and Psychologist provided you are assured to complete the necessary Educational Requirements for both the degrees individually as well. Hope this answers your question.
