My mother has been diagnosed with enlarged uterus with a fibroid of around 4.8*4.4*4.1 dimensions. Can this be treated without surgery?
If we don't go for surgery, is there any chance of this turning into malignant or cancerous?

Usually the fibroid getting in to malignancy(sarcoma) is 2% that to after attaining menopause
If there are no symptoms like heavy bleeding or pain u can wait
But follow up scan every 3 months for any increase in size of fibroid
