Calcified plaque in aorta (NCCT KUB)
Can "calcified plaque seen in aorta" reported in NCCT KUB indirectly indicates that there must be severe calcified plaque in arteries of heart also leading to blockage in heart considering age of 75 years and high cholesterol at 248 and triglycerides at 289?? Please suggest.

NO it doesn't mean that there is a calcified plaque in ARTERIES OF heart, but there is a generalized risk of calcified plaques or as it is called atherosclerosis in various arteries of the body. Considering age, we should start anti-platelet agents and statins and look for further workup. For medicines and further counselling and guidance , do online consultation with me.
