The sensation you are describing might be due to several causes which includes:- 1. allergic reaction or sensitivity to tooth paste or mouth wash or to certain foods , 2.due to dry mouth which results from dehydration 3. it might be due to mild trauma or irritation caused by friction from sharp edges of your teeth 4. eating acidic or spicy foods 5.might be due to some underlying condition
Next Steps
1.drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration 2.rinse your mouth with salt water  2 to 3 times a day 3.avoid spicy and  acidic foods temporarily 4.switch to mild toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate 5.if it persists more than few days consult a dentist

Is the sensation kind of burning sensation? There can be may explanations for it. Sometimes people have too much acidity due to this also they can experience it . Some times Vitamin deficiency can lead to this type of discomfort in our tongue. I suggest you to take Any Multivitamin with Vit B 12 supplements.   Also try to avoid hot or too cold liquids. If the situation deteriorates or does not respond with the treatment, You can make a consult with me. Or You can visit dentist near You. Thank you 😊.

Hi, Is this the first time you are having this feeling? Advise you to take multivitamin tablets for the next 15 days. Drink plenty water and avoid hot and spicy food for the next 3 days. Visit a dentist if you see no change in a few days. Get a clinical evaluation done.
