Always believe manual machine… the sphygmomanometer.
There are always variations between different machines.
Hypertension is defined only if minimum two readings in a week 3 days apart are high.

Keep recording BP . With both manual and digital machine on the same arm . Back to back without any interval. (Or else mention it as right arm - digital and manual and left arm- digital and manual)
Keep a record of 3 days .
Then consult with the chart .
Note: even if it is 130/80 it is pre-hypertensive
So, maintain salt restricted diet and brisk exercise for 30 mins daily. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid stress and sleep well at night .

For digital BP take 3 readings at intervals of 3 to 5 mins and get average that's nearly a correct reading,
Try such reading at different times of day over 4 to 6 wks if most of readings are above 140/90 treatment is needed
