Complete blood count , PT-INR , Renal function test , liver function test, ECG. , pulmonary function test. These are few tests performed before surgery. But it all depends on the nature of surgery and the type of Anesthesia planned. If it is minor surgery, a very few tests maybe required. But if it is a major surgery or Anesthesia required is general or patient’s condition is poor then a lot of tests maybe required for fitness for surgery.
