Hi dear Usually blood pressure medication has to be continued life long if on stopping the bp shoots back . What u can do is stop medicine for few days and see if the BP is rising back again then u have to continue it Additionally bp also rises in situation of stress and anxiety so if u have such history then we should treat it first then may be the bp will return to normal without treatment. If u are overweight that also increases the blood pressure to some extent So please consult so that we can discuss everything in detail and do what is best Take care

You should record your BP twice daily. You should be in constant touch with a General Physician whom you should consult at least once a month. He will decide if your medicine dose should be tapered. No self medication please.
